Annet Mahendru
Mahendru's parents are Russian and Hindu Indian. She was born in Afghanistan. She is fluent in German, Russian, English in addition to French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru is the daughter of an Indian father, as well as an Indian father and a Russian mom. An improvised performance she choreographed at the age of 11 that aired on German television, turned her into a Russian dancer and snow maiden. She graduated from high school at the age of 11 in New York and received a Bachelor of Arts in English at St. John's University. In college, she attended acting classes in the HB Studio, but she quit to pursue improvisation classes in the Groundlings School taking on several comedy shows afterward. Her family was brought up in Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru, as well as Russian-speaking mom Olga. The family moved from Afghanistan to East Meadow New York, with her father when she was 13 years old. She is a star with Matthew Rhys and Keri Russel in FX's The Americans. Television actress who plays an ex- KGB agent Nina Sergeevna Krilova, on FX's The Americans. The actress was a regular character on The Following on Fox, The Following, and NBC's The Blacklist.
